Any of us anywhere can face poverty. But every day, communities everywhere push back.

We and our partners support the many strands of this fight, from local leadership in emergencies, to the refugees resettling and rebuilding their lives, helping families build brighter futures in more than 80 countries around the world.

By 2023, 86% of people facing extreme poverty will live in the most fragile places on earth.

With your support we can continue to partner with communities facing poverty wherever they live, including in the world’s harshest places. Places where the threat of conflict, violence and extreme weather is high. Where there is limited access to clean water, food and other essentials, and jobs and services are scarce.

This means uniting with communities to prepare for and survive the immediate threat of disaster. And to fight for a world where we can all claim our rights, live free from discrimination and have the resources we need to rebuild with strength and security, to thrive in the future.
